Come raggiungerci?

Il quartiere Borgo nasce subito dopo l'eruzione dell'Etna del 1669 che arriva fino a Catania distruggendo e seppellendo case e infrastrutture. A qual punto i catanesi decidono di stabilirsi circa un chilometro piu' al nord rispetto il centro e così viene edificato "U buggu", ovvero "il Borgo", con lo stile dell'epoca, il Barocco.

Oggi Piazza Borgo e le sue strade principali sono perfettamente collegate con il resto della città, soprattutto tramite la via principale, Via Etnea, che attraversa la piazza principale fino ad accompagnarci al confine nord della città.

Dall'aeroporto basta prendere l'alibus e scendere in Via Etnea, angolo Viale Regina Margherita, vicino la Feltrinelli, per trovarsi già a pochi passi da Homely Catania.

Anche le due fermate metro BORGO e GIUFFRIDA distano a 8 minuti a piedi e sono una soluzione molto comoda ed alternativa ai bus per chi preferisce spostarsi con i mezzi.

The Borgo neighborhood was born immediately after the 1669 eruption of Etna which reached Catania, destroying and burying houses and infrastructure. At which point the people of Catania decided to settle about a kilometer further north than the center and so "U buggu", or "the Borgo", was built in the Baroque style of the time.

Today Piazza Borgo and its main streets are perfectly connected with the rest of the city, especially via the main street, Via Etnea, which crosses the main square until it takes us to the northern border of the city. From the airport, just take the alibus and get off in Via Etnea, at the corner of Viale Regina Margherita, near Feltrinelli, to find yourself just a few steps away from Homely Catania.

The two metro stops BORGO and GIUFFRIDA are also an 8-minute walk away and are a very convenient solution and alternative to buses for those who prefer to travel by public transport.
